Compute with a second output.

Organisations that rent capacity at a Nordvar site get two things. The first is what any data centre provides: secure, reliable computing on renewable power. The second is what no ordinary data centre provides: the heat from that computing drives the permanent removal of carbon from the air, and the removal is attributed to the tenant. Attribution covers stored tonnes only.

Nordvar is in development. A first site is being evaluated in Iceland, and rates will be published when first-phase capacity is quoted.

Who it is for
Workloads that are heavy on computation and light on latency: model training, simulation, rendering, batch analytics, research computing. Organisations with public climate commitments that want their computing to contribute to removal rather than merely avoid harm. Teams that would rather explain where their compute runs than apologise for it.
How attribution works
Removals are measured at the site and verified independently. A tenant's share is calculated from the energy its workloads used and documented in the same records that support the verified removal. The figure is specific, auditable and not sold to anyone else.
What we ask of tenants
Flexibility helps. Workloads that can pause briefly or shift in time allow the site to ease its draw when the grid needs it, and to ride through the hours when capture pauses. In return, that flexibility is reflected in what tenants pay.
